A few more tips and techniques here today. I use multiple rust products from three different manufacturers for my rust effects. One I use the most is rust texture by Vallejo, which I've mentioned many times. This I can apply as a stand alone texture, but usually I apply rust pigments or powders over top of it while wet to give different colors and effects.

Another product I use for large rust spots or large areas is a product called corrosion texture by AK. This must be applied sparingly as it actually bubbles up to look like corroded rust and can have other mediums applied to it.

The third product I use is by MiG Ammo called U-Rust, which is applied first followed by a reactive agent by MiG that causes the same corroded rust effect. All three of these products give excellent rust effects!
